  Hotel Alisei is located just outside the lively village of Las Terrenas (map), on the beautiful Samana peninsula (map) in the North-East of the Dominican Republic (map).
  Driving from the capital of Santo Domingo will take 2.5 hours depending on road conditions.
  The alternative is to take a small plane from La Isabela airport (outside Santo Domingo) to El Portillo airport, just 10 minutes from the hotel.
  Driving from Puerto Plata or Santiago takes about 3.5 hours.
   For our guests arriving thru the new "Samana International Airport" at El Catey, the taxi ride is only 35 minutes and the cost is $40 US for up to 7 passengers.
